PAID VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO PARTICIPATE IN EXPERIMENTS ( YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD, AND A CURRENT NYU STUDENT) SIGN UP NOW AT: http://rec.econ.nyu.edu

Over the course of the semester, a number of economic experiments will be performed at the Center for Experimental Social Science. The experiments are primarily in individual and group decision-making and usually enjoyed by those who participate in them.

The students who participate and complete the experiment will be paid for their participation. The amount paid depends on the experiment run but usually depend on the decisions made by the subject, and sometimes also on the decision made by the other subjects in the experiment and chance. The minimum payment for the experiment (if completed) cannot be below $10 per 90 minutes.

Your participation in the experiment and any information about your earnings will be kept strictly confidential and your participation is voluntary. Please note that if you are not an NYU student who is currently enrolled , you will not be able to get paid for participation.

All experiments take place in the computer lab of the Center for Experimental Social Science, which is located on the fifth Floor of 19 West 4th Street.

If, at any time during the year you think you might be willing to participate, please click here and you can register for upcoming experiments.

By registering you will be put on a list of students who will be informed of upcoming experiments as they take place. If you are interested in participating at that time, you will be able to reply and if you are not you just simply ignore the message.

If you cannot attend an experiment that you have signed up for, you must de-register yourself and inform the person who is running the experiment no less than 24hrs before  it will run.  Failure to do so will result in you not being able to sign up for forthcoming experiments for a period of approximately three months.
