According to the announcement of the society: “Economic Theory Fellows are selected for their scientific excellence, originality, and leadership; high ethical standards; and scholarly and creative achievement.” Professor Schotter was named in the inagural class of fellows that was announced in July 2011.
Long-time CESS affiliated graduate students are now employed.
- Begum Guney will join the economics department at Ozyegin University in Istanbul, Turkey.
- Sen Geng will join the economics department at Xiamen University (the home of Jason Shachat).
- Alistair Wilson will join the economics department at the University of Pittsburgh (home of many experimenters, including Jack Ochs, Lise Vesterlund, John Duffy, and others).

It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce that Ernst Fehr, Professor of Economics at the University of Zurich and Director of its Institute for Empirical Research in Economics will be joining CESS as an NYU Global Professor. Professor Fehr will be in residence at NYU for six weeks a year where he will teach and interact with graduate students and faculty. He will also hold joint appointments with NYU’s Center for Neuroeconomics and its Brain Imaging Center.The addition of Ernst as a Global Professor will be a great addition to the NYU community as a whole and in particular to those at NYU engaged in experimental, behavioral, and neuroscience work in the social sciences.

The 4th conference on economic methodology focused on the relation between experiments and theory, the laboratory and the field, and the relation between experimental psychology and experimental economics.
